    Hi,

I am unable to create a new form in Form section

What exactly happens when you try to create a new form? Are you getting an error?

also when i tried to search it will show this error Geocode was not successful for the following reason: REQUEST_DENIED

This error indicates on a missing Google Maps API key. Google now requires an API key in order to use its mapping features. You can follow this tutorial on how to create a Google Maps API key. When done, enter the API key in GEO my WP Settings page.

Let me know if that helps.

    Hi,

This could be caused by a JavaScript error. If you can provide a link to the live page I will take a look and see if there are any errors.

Also its not getting current location same error user denied

If you are using the Chrome browser and your site does not have SSL certificate installed, then you will get the “user Denied the geolocation” error.

Google is now requires a website to have SSL certificate installed in order to be able to use the auto-location feature with Google Chrome. Unfortunately, There is nothing that can be done on my site ( as the plugin developer ) to bypass this restriction.

I’m also not able to add new forms. There’s a dropbox at the top for “add new forms” but selecting it does nothing and there’s no button to tell it to do anything.

    @karmatiger,
Have you activated at least one of the two core add-ons, Posts Locator or Members Locator ( Admin dashboard -> GEO my WP -> Add-ons )?

No. If a plugin requires add-ons in order for a simple dropbox to function, and there’s not so much as a “to activate this feature, please activate [required add ons]” but simply a dropbox appearing but not doing anything, that’s pretty frikkin’ non-intuitive.

Perhaps I should add a warning regarding the add-on activation. Regardless, the core add-ons are required for the entire plugin to function and not for the dropdown box only.

Why not just make them part of the plugin without being an add-on?

So you can choose to enable only the components that you are going to use which results in better performance. Why loading the Members Locator files and folders if you don’t even use BuddyPress, for example.

fair point. Now I’m as far as getting the form to appear on the members page, but a box says “Oops! Something (and then it cuts off) and the form doesn’t work.

This is error indicates on a missing Google API key. Since s couple of months ago Google Requires an API key in order to use its maps services ( which was not required previously ).

You can follow this tutorial on how to create the required API key. When done, enter it in GEO my WP Settings page.

Nope, I installed the API key earlier today.

Then its either something is wrong in the setup of the API key or there is a conflict with another Maps plugin which might be installed on your site. The error you mentioned will show only when there is an issue with the API key.

If you have any other mapping plugin installed please deactivate it and see if the errors is gone.

Also, When you created the API key, did you enable the required API services as described in the tutorial mentioned above? Did you also add your site’s URL to the list of URL in the API settings?

If you can provide a link to the live site I will take a look and see if I can find the issue.

The key is accurate. There is no other maps plugin running. And yes I know how to install a goddamned API key. Not all of us are noobs to Google development.
