• Hello folks,

I’ve set up my new wordpress blog, and tried to import the old one that’s I’d saved on my old blog, which I then shut down.

This is the error message I got:

Unable to create directory D:\Hosting\4297755\html/wp-content/uploads/2009/04. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

The blog I’ve now closed down wasn’t updated much – there wasn’t much there to import over, so I won’t be heart broken if I have to start again.

However, I don’t want the error to crop up once I’ve really got going with the blog, so can anyone help as to why it’s coming up?

I don’t understand why it tried to create a directory on my D:\. Do you think it tried to create a temporary drive and when it found my physical hard drive there it got confused?
