Unable to create custom User Roles from registration form

  • I know that Ultimate Member has a form builder for the registration form, I am trying to give the user an option to select between two custom User Roles called “Candidate” and “Employer”. I created these two custom roles from Ultimate Member as well.

    I used both Role Select fields in the form builder (dropdown & radio select) but for some reason if the user selects either one of these custom roles they aren’t assigned these roles but are assigned wp_capabilites. For example if the user selects “candidate” their wp_capability become “candidate” but their User Role remains as “None”

    Could you please advise?

    Hi @challanj,

    What version of the Ultimate member you have installed on your site?
    Do you have any other membership plugins active?
    Can you please try to do a quick conflict test so we can rule out conflicts with other plugins? Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Ultimate Member Support can you please answer my question about the roles problem I’ve created 3 weeks ago? The roles select still not works with foreign roles from WooCommerce. I need some assistance here. The crazy thing is that when I set it as default role and remove the role select all new users having this role but with the role dropdown it’s not working.
