Unable to copy the plugin file required to enable the Troubleshooting Mode

I installed the plugin and activated, then went to the Troubleshooting tab. When I click the button to enable Troubleshooting mode, I get this error:
“We were unable to copy the plugin file required to enable the Troubleshooting Mode.”
Any thoughts on how I can resolve this so that I can use the plugin?
