    Hello support team,

I would like to migrate my Woo Commerce website to a new Facebook page. I tried to uninstall and start the connection settings again. Also found a topic like mine and tried to reset the connection with an additional plug-in (https://cloud.skyver.ge/X6uOEyG9). But none of these methods did what I expected.

When I press “Get started” the installation process tries to connect me again with the old Facebook Business Manager. I see the following error message: “Admin Permission Required. You don’t have permission to edit these settings. Reach out to the admin of “This is the name of my old and inaccessible Business Manager” to gain access.”. The problem is that I deleted my admin rights incidentally and can’t access the old Business Manager which is connected with the old Facebook Page. That’s why I need to migrate to a new Facebook Page and use new Facebook Business Manager.

Please, help me to reset the plug-in Facebook for WooCommerce.

    Thank you in advance!

And something else I forgot to clarify. After installing the additional plug-in, which is meant to reset the connection, I click on “Reset settings”. But after a while I receive a message colored in green “No settings to clear.”

    Hi @dumbarovam

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand you’re trying to connect to a new Facebook page, but the old page is automatically being used/detected during the connection process.

When the plugin has been configured previously, it will save a merchant_settings_id in your WooCommerce database so that you can re-open the setup at any time to show your previously selected options. Since you have lost access to the prior account, this is not ideal.

You will need database access in order to remove some stored options in the database. Can you attempt by removing the following options from the database?:

    – wc_facebook_product_catalog_id
    – wc_facebook_external_merchant_settings_id
    – wc_facebook_feed_id

Once this is cleared, would you mind attempting the connection process again? Thanks!

    Hi @laceyrod,
Thank you for your reaction. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to do it. I have access to the database and I found only one result containing “merchant_settings_id”. I did delete it, but I still can not reset the connection. The plugin leads me again to the old Business Manager.
The other options I didn’t find:
    (- wc_facebook_product_catalog_id
    – wc_facebook_external_merchant_settings_id
    – wc_facebook_feed_id)

Please, give me more details how and where to search them.

    Hi @dumbarovam,

Try to go to the options.php area of your Admin panel – add /wp-admin/options.php at the end of your URL. It should show you the matching area to the Facebook sections when doing a search for merchant_settings_id, and will look something like this example shot. Clear out anything there, as well as in the other fields related to Facebook, and then save the settings.

Go back to Facebook and see if this works by connecting to the Business Manager. Let us know the results!

    Hi @nixiack8,

I didn’t find “merchant_settings_id”. But I cleared “wc_facebook_external_business_id” and the plug-in let me start setting up the new Business Manager and the new Page. But I can’t reach the end of the set up process. On the step for the Pixel the window blinks for half of a second and comes up the following message: “Oops, something went wrong.
This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.”
After I reload the page, I have to start the configuration from the beginning and every time I reach one and the same place – just before the Pixel set up.

    Hi @dumbarovam

    I hope you’re well!

But I cleared “wc_facebook_external_business_id” and the plug-in let me start setting up the new Business Manager and the new Page.

That’s great you made a progress!

Personally I have had a similar error.

Could you please go back to your wp-admin/options page, and then on the field: wc_facebook_external_business_id, that possibly reads like storename-7987967686.

Then please just remove anything after storename including the dash sign. Scroll down and save the change, and then try to reconnect again.

Please do let me know how it goes now

    Hello @solstudioim,

Thank you for your reaction. Actually in the meantime, I was waiting for your answer, I tried again clearing things from the database in PHPmyAdmin. I don’t remember any more what I did, but finally I managed to finish the connection. Now everything is all right and my website is properly connected with my new Facebook Business Page.

    Thank everyone for the support!
