I’m on plugin v2.1.4 and followed the steps suggested by Steve (@skyvergesteve) of plugin support in a similar ticket, but I’m still unable to connect WC to FB.

    1. Go to https://www.SITENAME.com/wp-admin/options.php
    2. Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id
    3. In the field next to it, change the data in that field to just the basic title of the page without any extra characters in place.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click Save Changes.
    5. In some cases, the data may not be saved due to larger databases and / or PHP settings, so after saving this, locate the wc_facebook_external_business_id field again and verify that the changes in place did save.

    Hi @jsncam

Thanks for letting us know what you have tried so far.

At step “What is Woocommerce Extension V2 allowed to do” make sure all fields are open. Facebook recently updated their settings to toggle “Manage your business” permission to Off by default.

Thx @amandasjackson that was it, I just received, “You just authenticated Facebook!”

It’d be a good idea to add that bit to the installation guide.

@amandasjackson a few more notes…..I may not be out of the woods yet:

Success Message – On this screen it asks if I’d like to be redirected back to my domain, the destination page is non-existent and I’m left staring at a page that only includes:

    -1

FB/WC Plugin Doesn’t Acknowledge FB Connection – When I manually navigate to /wp-admin, there’s a flag from the plugin requested me to again:

Please connect to Facebook to enable and manage product sync.

Despite the confirmation message from the plugin earlier, it looks like I am still not connected to FB. I ran through the process two more times, receive two more success messages, was redirected to a page that doesn’t exist twice and again asked to connect w FB two more times.

Thanks for your help so far @amandasjackson

Just wanted to chime in to say I’m also having the same problem as @jsncam now – being shown a page with just ‘-1’ on it.

Looking through the source (includes/Handlers/Connections.php) I can see that if any of the query string params are invalid then an error should be logged, but when I look I can’t see anything.

For reference the URL looks something like this:

    https://mysite.com/?wc-api=wc_facebook_connect&external_business_id=aaa&nonce=bbb&system_user_id=ccc&system_user_access_token=ddd&merchant_access_token=eee

Not sure how to continue from here.

@amandasjackson I just updated my plugin to v2.2.0 and get the exact same results.

I’ve also found that while I’ve been working to connect WP to FB, I’ve been creating new System Users in FB Business Settings….I cannot delete them, but a new one is added each time I attempt to Connect WP/WC with FB.

Please advise on how to proceed.

Thank you Amanda! I got mine working too – Did not think that default settings would not work.. only to figure out now how to keep it from syncing in test environment and doing it in production only ??
