Unable to connect to DB via Softaculous on Sites created with Duplicator

    I’m in the process of migrating some WordPress installations from one server to another and noticed recently that Softaculous is unable to connect to the database on sites that were imported to the new server that were created via the duplicator plugin. I initially thought this had something to do with the database collation, but after adjusting via advance mode in my most recent install, I’m still not able to connect. Please advise.

    Hello @jplafata ,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Duplicator uses the standard WordPress method to add the database connection parameters to the wp-config.php file during the backup restoration. This issue shouldn’t happen if Softaculous uses the same method. However, I’m not sure how it works.

    Can you please let me know how Softaculous connects to the database?
