unable to connect sitekit with my wordpress blog

Hi @marathivibes thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re facing issues with your Site Kit verification. Could you please first try a Site Kit reset to see if that then allows you to complete setup and verification after.

If you are still facing the issue after the reset attempt then please could you share the following information:

1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
2. Do you noticed any console errors when trying to attempt verification?
3. Does the same happen when trying from an Incognito browsing window?

and yes the issue persist with incognito mode for chrome, firefox as well

Yes, I tried troubleshooting the steps you provided and with default theme it have same issue

@marathivibes Thanks for confirming. Can I just check if you have managed to set up Site Kit or if you are stuck on the verification? It looks like your Site Kit is actually set up from what I can see.

Could you please share a recording of what you are currently seeing which may help me to understand exactly what is happening here? You can use Loom to record this and share the URL here.

I have installed the sitekit on my wordpress blog but while setup on verification step only I am getting above error.

Somehow “akii” is appended which seems causing the problem. If i remove it my blog loads fine.

I tried resetting and reinstalling Sitekit plugin multiple times but this issue presist since when I created the blog.

Pls help.

Please could you try the following 2 things:

1. Temporary deactivate the WPS Hide Login plugin, and then attempt set up.

Try changing your WordPress site URL and WordPress address URL to include www. and try the Site Kit setup once more.

If the Site Kit records for your site don’t match your current set up, then you can get issues like the one you are experiencing so following step 2 here would fix this.
