Unable to connect Paypal

Good morning,
We were using Paypal IN PRODUCTION MODE (we are not in testing mode !!!!!!) until the recent update.
Since then, it has been completely impossible to reconnect to Paypal. Here is the message:
“Connect With PayPal
There was an issue retrieving a link to connect to PayPal. Please try again. If the issue continues please contact an administrator.“An Error ? what type? Why ? Or ? When ? how ?
There is no explanation of the plugin, no precise message letting you know what is happening… it’s extremely frustrating!
A log file is normally used for this! But obviously you don’t work like that.
We are therefore forced to deactivate PayPal payments after having agreed to update your plugin… There is absolutely nothing professional about this.
Please tell us how we can fix this bug which, I repeat, has nothing to do with test mode.
