Unable to Connect Pages

  • Recently, I had to revert my website to an old back-up. This meant I lost a translated page: the Dutch version of /store/stuffed-animals/. Before restoring the backup, the Dutch and English pages were connected through Polylang.

    I recreated the Dutch page (/nl/winkel/knuffels/) and tried to reconnect them. Unfortunately, Polylang isn’t able to find either of the pages. I tried:
    – Connecting them through the English page / connecting them through the Dutch page. They don’t appear as linkable options.
    – Cleaning all auto-draft posts, post revisions, trashed posts.
    – Optimizing database tables.
    – Changing the pages’ URLs.
    – Changing the pages’ names.

    Nothing helped in ‘freeing’ them and connecting them again. Does anyone have any other ideas? What could prevent these pages from being linked?
