Installed Site Kit and successfully setup Console and PageSpeed Insights, but failed to complete setup for Analytics. Once I click “Complete setup for Analytics” in Settings, it appears to run to connect service but never finishes. The green line keeps moving across the page forever.

Tried several times to fix and reinstalled Site Kit, but brought me same problems.

Can anyone suggest me a solution for this issue?

    Thanks

Hi there @dazedplatypus, thanks for getting in touch and for sharing the information you have. I’d be happy to look into this further for you. To do this, please can you share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form?to share privately if preferred.??
    2. When setting up Analytics, are you creating a new property or are you using an existing property?
    3. A screenshot or recording of your experience showing this happening
    4. Do you encounter the same from an Incognito window?

Once you have shared the information above I can help by suggesting some next steps to take. If you have any questions in the meantime then let me know.

    Hi Adam,

    1. Done
    2. Couldn’t reach to that stage due to this issue
    3. Site Kit Error
    4. Still same issue from Incognito window as well

    Thanks!

@dazedplatypus Thank you for sharing the information. Could I please also ask you to try following the troubleshooting steps here and let me know if the outcome is the same while in troubleshooting mode with just Site Kit active?

This will rule out any plugin or theme conflicts and if ruled out I can suggest some other steps to take next.

Hi Adam, thanks for your response.

I tried the troubleshooting steps you have mentioned, but still it shows same result. All of plugins except Site Kit were disabled.

@dazedplatypus Thanks for your continued efforts with your troubleshooting on this. Please could you next try checking to see if there are any browser extensions you have that may be causing this. You can try disabling any browser extensions you have to see if you encounter the same.

If you continue to still face this issue, please go to this URL which will create a temporary test WordPress site with Site Kit pre-installed. Could you set up Site Kit on this site and attempt Analytics setup as you do on your own site. Do you face the same issue on this site?

Let me know if you have any other questions at this time.

Hi Adam, I have directly entered into Analytics webpage and created a new account to link with my website. Successfully completed setup for Analytics.

    I appreciate your advice.

@dazedplatypus Nice work finding a workaround to the problem. Could you please confirm that you have indeed now connected the Analytics module in Site Kit?

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Hi Adam, successfully connected Analytics module and no further inquiries in this regards.

    Thank you!
