unable to complete installation

  • I get past the install.php page, says it finds the config.php and that I may try to install, i click that and all i get is a white page, nothing happens. My entire folder for the blog is marked as full permissions.

    What am I missing.

    Urgent response time please.

    Ok, got the installation completed, finally, but now I do not get anything on the actual blog page. I have an admin section but when i go to the blog it just runs and runs and then says connection problem. The index.php is there and looks correct. Why won’t it load the theme etc.

    Any ideas.

    yeah, basically not getting the blog page. I am seeing in the forums that it has or may have to do with the .htaccess file. Never had to create this before. Then they are talking about permalinks in the admin section, but i do not see how to do that. So I am still stuck.

    Any thoughts or help?

    -try contacting the hosting provider (unless you are your own hosting provider) if the database server is online / if they have any other problem at their end, or they made any changes to your account, or if there are any limitations/restrictions, etc.
