Unable to Close ‘WooCommerce database update done’ Notice

I submitted a ticket on this, and was given a phoned in answer to clear my cache and submit my request to the forums so that it would be easier to ignore.

I have this issue on about 15 sites and multiple hosts.

I’ve seen that, but prefer a more graceful solution since plugins like that can inadvertently hide an important notification. I would even happily edit my database to clear this message (possibly a flag somewhere that did not get updated when clicking done)

the easiest fix is…

In the xxx_wc_admin_notes table I updated wc-update-db-reminder from unactioned to actioned

@7thcircle I did that too, and it fixed the issue, but it keeps coming back… and I go to the table and see that the field has become “unactioned” again.
Why ??

@joopleberry I can’t really speak to what might be the issue, but if your db is not saving changes you may have a larger issue. I made this change on a handful of sites with no issues, and on others that I skipped v4.0 and went straight to 4.1 I had no issues. I do know that 4.2 is scheduled for June 2 and it may help resolve any lingering issues but I do suggest you look into other possible causes for your db reverting changes.

Okay, this problem is here AGAIN! I just updated the latest woo update version and now I have THIS to deal with! Every update it’s something and I am quite tired of it! AND I don’t need to add yet another plugin to fix your coding issues!!!
If you can’t produce an update without causing a new problem or breaking something, then perhaps you need to test and recheck your updates more thoroughly.

Yes, I see it on 4.4 and 4.4.1 across about 15 sites. The same fix still works.

I’ve tried the fix with Woocommerce 4.2.2 and while the database shows that field as “actioned,” the message still appears.

Be aware, my fix is what has worked for me, but not an official fix from WooCommerce.
