    Hi,

Upon upgrading to Version 2.0.0, we’ve noticed that it prevents some of the links from being clickable (e.g. our products) on mobile. On desktop, the 2 edges on left and right of the page becomes not clickable (e.g. a product is only clickable in the center).

Also, the chat window cannot be minimized upon clicking the (-) button.

We disabled the chat function and everything becomes normal.

We think the chat window interferes with the link clicking abilities. Please assist.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Welcome to the club. My site is doing this as well, however, only the right side is like this. When I open the chat window and minimize it, I can click the links again.

My problem is in my WooCommerce extension for “Facebook for WooCommerce” plugin, the “Facebook” tab (the one where you can check and uncheck the box to add or remove the Messenger plugin) isn’t there anymore…it just tells me Facebook can’t communicate with Messenger and I have to go to Business Extension. The Business Extension is saying I already have it on my site…

This is a mess. I have no idea. I’m nervous to roll back because when they FINALLY patch this plugin, I’m afraid I’ll be worse off than I am now. Honestly, this isn’t a big problem, a little aggravating, but what happens when they patch and I update, and my entire catalogue goes missing due to this (which is what I’m hearing most people have had happen after this update.)

I’m sorry I’m not much help. I’ve been trying to find the answer to this problem. I just want to turn the daggone thing off and can’t.

    Hi @xiaobijou and @wadeharman,

Thanks for reaching out. Happy to help you with this!

First, I want to sincerely apologize for the Messenger issue here. Although the 2.0 release came out roughly two weeks ago, we are only now seeing this issue occur for some users.

If possible, would you please provide a few additional details here so we can try to troubleshoot this? Are you still seeing this issue with one of the default themes like Twenty Twenty or Storefront? If so, are you noticing this issue persist when deactivating other plugins?

Any additional information you could provide here would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Marcus

Thanks for responding! Someone emailed me and I have replied. I do have a question about this though. I did notice that whenever all of this happened, all of a sudden I had 1 new Facebook Ad account, and 1 new Facebook Pixel on my site. My problem is I cannot uncheck the Messenger plugin to deactivate it. However, it says there is a problem communicating with Facebook Business Extension.

For some reason these 2 new things were created, do you think the plugin is reading from the new Pixel and not the original one I created?

    Hi Wade – @wadeharman,

Thank you for following up here as well. As noted in the other thread of yours that I just responded to, I believe that re-installing the plugin might clear some of these issues up. I know it’s not ideal, so I apologize for this!

Would you please let me know how that goes?

    Thanks,
    Marcus

    Hey @xiaobijou,

It has been a while since we heard from you, so I’m going to mark this topic as resolved. If you’re still experiencing issues please take a look at our documentation for more information and create a new thread if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
    Marcus
