Unable to choose files for media sources

  • For some reason wordpress is not allowing me to search or choose for the source file for any media I’m try to upload. I am able to upload media through the Media > Add New option, however when I try to make a new hero slide, for example, when I click on the ‘choose file’ button under background image, nothing happens. It won’t even allow me to type anything into the text field that’s right about the button. This problem is occurring for every media option on this page. Any ideas what’s going on here? Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Would “hero slide” be related to one of these plugins?

    My guess is that you might have a theme or a media plugin that is either not able to properly connect into what WordPress normally does or else is somehow disrupting what WordPress normally does.

    Thanks for the input, I don’t have any of those plugins installed. I do have a theme from themeforest so I’ll reach out to the author and see if they may know what’s going on.
