• (I reposted this topic to the ‘how-to and troubleshooting’ forum, as it seems a bit out of place here…

I last installed a new theme around february of this year.

Recently I upgraded my blog to 2.7, and installed a local ‘try-out’ version on my own machine, and started adapting another theme.
Today I wanted to install it on my ‘official’ blog, but it turned out it was impossible to change my theme.

When I click on the new theme, the flash-player starts, and shows the new theme, but without the black border where you find ‘acitivate -new theme-‘.
I already tried reinstalling 2.7 (maybe there was some file missing?), but this didn’t solve the problem.

So it seems I’m stuck with my ‘old’ layout.

    Anybody who has a suggestion?

  • This happened to me as well… My current theme was Tarski and after upgrading to 2.7 I tried to switch to the default theme but I can’t get it to work.

When I click the theme I see the preview on the bottom of the screen, but there is no way to switch!

Update: I tried using Internet Explorer (version 7) and was able to switch the themes successfully. The issue is that in Firefox clicking on the theme thumbnail only shows a preview of the theme, while clicking the same thing in IE will switch the theme.

Perhaps this a JavaScript issue that is browser-sensitive?
