I committed the unpardonable sin of renaming a theme’s folder directly on the server because it had some spaces in it and ever since I’m not able to change themes. The only way I was able to get my custom theme back in was to stick it in the default folder. If I choose a theme everything gets screwed up.

This is what the theme page looks like now: https://tinyurl.com/d92h8b
As you can see the current theme is mysteriously blank even though if you go to the page the “default” theme (which is actually my custom theme) works fine. How can I repair this?

Any ideas? This is the sort of mess I feel like I can live with and then I’ll upgrade to a new WP version and it won’t recognize my theme any more or something like that.

Can yu not just change it back to what it was via ftp?

    That didn’t do it.

However, it seemed that the “preview” that comes up when you switch themes was getting hung up on some sort of weird loop that doesn’t actually occur in the live site. I don’t know why that was happening (and why it didn’t happen before the name change I mentioned) but at least now it seems to be working. Weird mystery. Hopefully it’ll not cause problems in the future.
