Unable to change stock amount on admin product page

You should be able to change the stock amount has long as “Manage stock?” is enabled.

You won’t need to set the stock status if it has inventory, only the stock quantity is needed.

We are unable to change the stock quantity on the product edit page. This used to work before, but now it is only possible to change this from the product overview pages through quick edit. Any ideas how to fix it?

Is the stock-field not visible? Is it read only? Or does clicking “Update” not update the stock?

Make sure “Manage stock” is enabled. If it is, and you can edit the stock quantity, then there is either another plugin or theme conflict happening on your site.

As Caleb suggested, ensure you have the manage stock option check then you should see the quantity box https://cld.wthms.co/lbMujD

I have the manage stock option checked and hear from the user it sometimes does not work, and most of the times it does work. It is a bit nasty to troubleshoot since I cannot repeat the issue. Will get back if I have an error message or something like that.
