Unable to change site language

    I have WordPress 2.7.1 with Gengo 2.5.1 (which I’m not allowed to update to 2.5.3 yet).

    I don’t know what is happening but I can’t change the language of the site in any way. I’m trying to change it in French and I have the fr_FR.mo file uploaded in wp-content/languages.

    I tried with Gengo properly set up and enabled, and I tried with Gengo disabled. I also defined WPLANG with fr_FR in the wp-config.php file. Whatever I do, it just won’t work.

    Also, I checked the load_textdomain function in wp-includes/l10n.php and it is being called with the correct file path and it is also loading the file properly.

    Anything else I can check?
