• Hello all,

This is not really a “bug” as the PayPal support team told me it is normal, but I think it is useful to post it here as many plugin users will face this issue.

If you disable the option “require final confirmation on checkout” and if you display the PayPal button on the cart page, your customer will see a red message “Unable to change shipping method” on the PayPal popup when entering his address.

I have opened a ticket on the paypal JIRA system (PPC-1301), and they say it is normal, and the only wait to make it work (on the cart page) is to enable the “require final confirmation on checkout” option.

(if the user click on the PayPal button from the Checkout page, everything is fine, whether the option is enable of not)

I think it is a bit of a pity for people (like me) who don’t want to enable this option and keep wanting to display the PayPal button directly?on the cart page.

    Just to let you know…

    Thanks

    Hello @veptune

Thanks for reaching out to us, we’re here to help.

Sorry for the delay in responding to your thread. The root of this problem seems to originate directly from PayPal, as you can see it appears in the PayPal-provided iframe modal.

We have contacted our partners at PayPal and are actively investigating potential solutions. It appears to be an issue on their end. In the meantime, a possible workaround is to disable the shipping callback and enable the “Require Confirmation on Final Checkout” option.

Once it’s resolved, I’ll update this thread accordingly.

    Kind regards,
    Krystian
