    Hello,

When I uncheck checkboxes (e.g. “Enable email alerts for successful logins” or “Enable email alerts for new site content”) in “Sucuri Security > Settings > Notification Settings” and click the “Save”-button on the top right of the list of settings the page reloads and the system says “Sucuri: Notification settings updated.” but the checkboxes are still checked.

I have the same problem changing settings in “General Settings” e.g. “Scanning Frequency” or ignoring post types.

It seems the changed settings aren’t saved to the database…

I have repeated this issue with three separate installs of WordPress, all multisite, one with no other active plug-ins. Sucuri is network enabled.

  • Please upgrade to the latest version (1.6.4 or up) that fixes it.

    Sorry for the trouble.

No problem (I have a mail rule!)

However, I’m sorry to report that I’m running 1.6.5 and I just verified that the problem persists. Has the bug perhaps found its way back since 1.6.4?

Not sure if I’ve had this problem with 1.6.4 though (didn’t pay attention to versions) so either there’s still problems or I’m having a problem with my setup.

    Regards,
    Erik

Happening on mine also with the latest version (1.6.5).

Hello, same here with latest version 1.6.6 installed on several standard sites. Only works at a single site but not in about 5-6 others.

I am having the same issue. I cannot uncheck notifications in 1.6.6 on several websites, but in 1.6.5 everything works fine. I’m going to hold off on updating the sites from 1.6.5, but in the meantime, I’m being buried in email notifications from the sites I manage that are running 1.6.6. Please fix this asap!

Yep…I just upgraded from v1.6.5 on a site that was working fine to v1.6.6 and now I can’t save notification options. I even tried resetting the plugin options but now more notifications are turned on and I can turn them off. Things like this can really put a damper on productivity ??

Yes, me too. 1.6.6. Just installed yesterday (Friday, Aug 15.)

It let me turn on a setting, but not turn off a setting in notifications. If that helps you troubleshoot. Version 1.6.6 upgraded today.

Thanks, John. I noticed that even though it’s checked, the notification emails stopped. Still is a bug, I believe.

Running WordPress 3.9.2 with a new installation of the plugin (version 1.6.6).

Unable to change notification settings via WP-Admin (& email notifications still working).

However, comparing to “older” website which has had the plugin installed longer (& updated multiple times), I notice that the wp_option DB table is having the entries for the notification settings.

If I manually add those DB rows (to the website with the new installation):

    1. The notification setting in WP-Admin are now update-able
    2. The email notifications stop if the individual option is unticked

I hope this information helps resolve this issue.

    s/having/missing
    ??

Hey everybody, sorry for the delay in response here. It looks like our devs are aware of this issue and are currently working on fixing it. I don’t have an exact ETA but hopefully we can get the bug fixed soon for everybody ??

same, removed the plugin due to this bug. sick of the emails.

    Installing 1.6.8 fixed the issue.

    Same here, fixed.
    Thanks!
