Backups now HUGE

  • Since BackupGuard has turned into JetBackup, I’m having problems with site backups.

    The backups are huge now. My backups were 500MB before the switch, and now they are 30,534.99MB. I’ve added some things to my site since the last successful backup, but not warranting THAT much space!

    Does anyone know why the backups are massive now?

  • You need to exclude the /wp-content/uploads/jetbackup folder as it isn’t set by default within the plugin

    I dare say that this is an oversight in the new version. Why would anyone want to backup their backups? These should be automatically excluded, don’t we agree?

    It also seems that in the free version there’s no option to deselect that directory.
