• For one of our clients’ sites that is about to launch, I authenticated Yoast Google Analytics using a Google account that includes many profiles from our web design agency.

Once I realized that anybody logged into WordPress could see all of our clients on our main Analytics account, I asked the client for their Google Analytics account credentials, with the goal of re-authenticating Yoast with the client-specific account, rather than our agency account.

However, when login to the client account and I re-authenticate using their account, Yoast is not picking up the change. It seems to be permanently locked in on the first account that was entered.

Is there any way to clear the cache or fix this? This seems a lot more difficult than I expected it to be. Thanks for any help.

Actually, this self-corrected and the old account now is gone and the new account is working. I’m not sure why it didn’t work initially but after several tries it suddenly took the change.

I too am dealing with this… was logged into the wrong google account (my own) when I first authenticated yoast ga and now no matter what I do it seems I can’t get rid of all my other accounts/properties from the dropdown. Arg.

I’ve tried completely uninstalling yoast ga, reinstalling while logged into WP as a different user in a different browser… reauthenticated yoast while logged into the correct google account… still shows all the properties from the original google account. Arg.

    Any luck?
