I am trying out this theme and am immediately being stopped in my tracks by the inability to change the styling of the links. They show and they work, but they won’t change color. Other things can change color, but since I want to make the background white, the existing scheme for the links is impossible.
I noted the suggestion to switch to a custom menu in another thread. All this accomplished was to insert lines between each link. The colors stayed the defaults. This was not what I had in mind, so I turned off the custom menu. This is a development site for a client and I can’t leave it this way for long. The url is

I forgot to mention that the link colors do seem to show up for mobile. Unfortunately these are also inheriting some Google fonts assigned to some header tags from another theme. Very odd.

OK, I think I know what is happening. I tried to duplicate what you have in the site link you sent me, and I made the left sidebar white and was able to change the menu link colours. These are found on the Navigation tab of the theme customizer. I am guessing you did not know the menu styling was there?

Hi, I’m not sure if I found it there or not, but I’ve got the child theme in preview mode and did find it there and success with changing the colors as well. ??

One thing I am puzzled about going forward is why the mobile version is pulling the font from the heading for the navigation links. If you can explain this it will probably save both time and another support request!

Thank you for the speedy response.

When in mobile view, there are different styled associated with the menu and other things too to accommodate mobile views, so this is probably why you saw something different than on a full browser window view.

Is everything working though now for you?

So far, so good. I will post again if I can’t sort out the mobile style issues. Thanks
