• Received message I need to “Authorize this email address”. I’m using the domain for the email and its a valid email address. When I go to authorize it acts like it is trying to send an email but never does. It is stuck on the “Check your inbox…” pop up and never sends the email. The email address is valid and I can send things to it and receive.

How can I get it to authorize? thanks!

    Hi there @nairbo,

Can you confirm the domain for the site you are working on, and we will run some checks in our system to ensure your domain is validated?

    Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. After a few days it finally validated the domain. No idea why it wouldn’t do anything. Suddenly it decided to validate after way too many attempts.

My next step was to authenticate, via DNS etc., since that is the preferred way to send. I set that all up, and it verified okay. But then I got “paused” due to high bounce rate after sending my first batch. So, went back to just using the validated domain to email.

    Hi again @nairbo,

Thanks for the update and good to hear your domain is verified now. It can take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propagate around the internet and reach our servers, so it may just have been a need to wait out that delay.

As for the bounces ban, we do maintain a very strict bounced email policy – this helps protect both your brand and ours from potential blacklisting online, and ensures we can maintain a high rate of deliverability and reliability for all of our users.

If you wish to continue to use the MailPoet Sending Service and you have been suspended due to bounces, please reach out to us directly via our support page as this is the only way to have service restored.

In the meantime, even if you continue to use a third party sending service instead, it sounds like it is worth it to clean your list. You can learn more about cleaning your list here:
