Unable to authenticate through Gmail

After updating wordpress, themes and plugins 2 weeks ago, Easy WP SMTP is showing a password error when authenticating through a gmail account. Any ideas about why this may be happening? This is the error I receive. The password IS correct. I’ve also tried other gmail usernames and passwords that I know to be correct and get the same error.
