Unable to Apply Text Formatting on Gutenberg

    Hi,

    I was working on a blog post using Gutenberg and found out that I’m not able to apply text formatting (Bold and Italicize) on my chosen text. As discussed in this issue, we found out that it could be a compatibility issue with Jetpack’s Proofreading configuration.

    Please advise if I should file this issue on GitHub since the number 1 rule of creating a bug report on Jetpack is:

    Before you report a bug, make sure it’s not just internet gremlins or a compatibility problem.

    I’m running on a multisite WordPress 4.9.8 with Gutenberg 3.7.0 and Jetpack 6.5.
