Unable to Add Subscribers Manually

When I click on ‘add’ in Subscribers, there is a popup to ask for email, first name, second name, and list. I enter all the information and click on “add to the list”.
I get the error “subscriber could not be added”.
I waited and tried once again. And then waited and then tried one more time. But all in vain. I want to ask for support in this regard.
Or else answer a simple question:
Why have you added the option to add a new subscriber when you cannot actually add the new subscriber manually?
