Unable to add photos to posts since update

  • I updated to 4.5.2 and since then have been unable to add images to posts or as featured images. Clicking on “media” results in just a spinning wheel, until I click the “list” view, then I see the image I’ve tried to upload multiple times – but cannot use it.

    Try chancing the themes an deactivating all the plugins

    Enable debug in wp-config.php file and check

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );

    I changed the theme and deactivated plugins when it first happened. Made no difference. And have changed the “define – true” above, also doesn’t help – I just have an error now:

    Warning: ini_set () has been disabled for security reasons in /home/….. load.php on line 292

    I am having this same issue. Ever since the update, I am unable to add images to posts, or pages, even though the gallery shows the images that I uploaded.
    Also, when I try to search for an image in the media library to use as featured image, it tells me no results even though the images are in the uploads folder in the wordpress installation folder under wp-content/uploads/
    I run 3 seperate sites, and am having the issue with all three installations.
    I have tried to do this in both IE 11, and Mozilla Firefox with the same results
