Unable to add photos to Custom User Profile Image (Simple Author Box)

    Hello, I’ve had tremendous difficulty trying to add photos to user profiles within WordPress. When I go to the Custom User Profile Image (Simple Author Box) area, I paste the URL for the profile photo I want to use. Then when I click “upload image,” it doesn’t go through. Instead, a hashtag gets added to the end of the URL and I get taken to the top of my screen. I’ve been having this issue and just can’t seem to find a way to add a photo to my user profiles for my website’s authors.

    Anyone else have this issue and able to help? Thank you

    To set the profile image you either:
    1. Paste the URL in the box and just Update Profile
    2. Click upload image and upload the image in the popup or select it from your Media Library which will then fill the Profile Image field with the URL and again you click Update Profile to save it

    Thank you very much for the help. Number 1 worked. Number 2 did not as the “upload image” button is not clickable for me. When I click it, it just takes me to the top of the screen and adds a hashtag to the end of the URL. I do not think the way it is currently set up is intuitive or works well. I’ve had lots of difficulty with this

    If Upload Image doesn’t work there might be a conflict between Simple Author Box and some other plugin. We don’t have any other reports of this happening as far as I can remember.
