Hi i recently started using sportspress and i am running the free version to test its capabilities, the first issue i experienced was the fact that the age can only be added or configured if the publish date is edited so i then i saw on the forum to resolve this type of issue and allow for the age to be added upon player creation i would have to add a player metric but when trying to this it only shows the edit buttons for metrics and nothing for new metrics

Aggree, that the Birthday being set by the published date of the sp_player post type is kinda odd. Using the published date however allows you to treat the birthday as a date format type, whereas adding a player metric will only allow you enter a string.

But – to answer your question :

Can you hit this URL directly to Add a New Metric ?
/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=sp_metric

Secondly, under Player Metrics in the config, are you saying the blue Add New button is greyed out?
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sportspress-config

Yes thanks, I am able to hit this url and a create new metric page is available

No it does not show at all only the edit buttons are available.

No the view all button is not showing at all

Why would issue occur if I am able to hit the “/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=sp_metric” Url?

Are you able to hit this URL ?

The styles for this button are being loaded from the WordPress core.

If you can hit this URL, I would recommend disabling all plugins to see if they appear, then turning on your plugins one-by-one.

Secondly, are there any errors in browser console ?

Right Click –> Inspect –> Console
