Unable to add Javascript to sidebar text widget

    I want to ad Adsense code and some other javascript to text widgets. When I click on the save button, it never saves – the little wheel keeps on spinning.

    What I have tried so far is disable all of the plugins, changed to original theme both with no luck. I am using WordPress 2.9.1.

    Anyone know why I can’t get this to work?

  • Try re-uploading the wp-includes and wp-admin folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Okay, I got it to work. I have another wordpress site on the same server that works fine. I started swapping files and figured out it was the .htaccess file that was causing the issue.

    The two files are completely different. What exactly has to be in the .htaccess file to secure my site?

    How did you fix this? I am having the same problem and I have run out of ideas. Any help would be great!!!
