After the latest update, we were trying to add a new product variation and when I select the image and add, the screen basically freezes and nothing happens. Any ideas as to what this could be?

  • Hi there @poolet08,

Typically issues like this may be caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin, especially when it happens after an update. How we usually address this type of issue is to have you temporarily switch to a theme we know works, such as Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and the plugin that helps with product variation (if any). Test and see if selecting an image in product variation freezes or no.

If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable plugins and the theme until you find the item that’s causing the conflict. Let us know how it goes and if we can assist you further!

Similar report here as well: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/19260

So maybe check for the Measurement Price Calculator plugin.

    Hello,

We do not have that plugin installed. We only have around 10-12 plugins and its all woocommerce related and affiliatewp typically so its all stuff built around woocommerce. We are going to be setting up a staging site tonight and testing. I will report back.

There’s probably something in the console if you look there as well. Here’s a guide for Chrome: https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/console/

The error in the console might point to a specific plugin.

Okay we will do that. I will report back on this.

    Caleb,

We are getting Violation Forced reflow while executing JavaScript errors.

Okay we see what is going on now. You have to click it twice now for some reason. So you click the image logo and the photos box pops up and you select the image and click Use Image. Then you have to select it again to set it as the variation image.

The button looks off when you have to click Set Variation Image though and it looks off.

Actually mark this resolved. No issues.

The having to select the image twice threw us off completely.
