I’ve been using NGG successfully for a couple of months. Today I created a new gallery and tried to add it to a post. Please see https://www.ccrt.net/NextGenGallery.jpg for a screenshot.

Can you tell me what I need to do to fix this?

Added info – I have been trying to get wp-greet plugin to work. Is it possible i’ve messed something up? If so, what would be the best way of fixing it w/o losing my existing NGG galleries?

    Kind regards,
    Kathie

p.s. just updated my NGG plugin to the latest version, 2.0.61, but found no difference in my problem.

  • Yes I actually have it appears it did have something to do with a Plug In I used after removing the Plug In it restored back to normal.

On the off chance that i have the same issue, what plugin did you delete?

It was a custom one that I bought online that showed author profile information including a photo which is what I figured could mess with Nextgen.

@kifiko IMO, in this way you’re wasting your time. The best thing you have to do is the “classic” troubleshooting described by @cais.
Each of us has passed at least once through that process and not one has ever died.
Install a plugin like this and go your way.

I have FINALLY taken the advice of @cais. Thanks so much for your patience with me.

I deactivated all my plugins, switched to the TwentyTwelve theme, cleared my cache and reactivated NGG. Much to my chagrin, the result is still the same. When I try to add an NGG gallery to a post, I still see blank boxes as shown in https://www.ccrt.net/NextGenGallery.jpg

At this point I would like to re-install Nextgen Gallery but do not want to lose my existing galleries. Is there a way to do this?

    gratefully,
    Kathie

@kifiko – The screenshot, although definitely showing an issue symptom we have seen, appears to also be showing BuddyPress to be still active … did you try NextGEN Gallery with *all* plugins deactivated?

Well aren’t you smart! I deleted Buddy Press yesterday as part of a general clean-up, and noticed that my galleries were working properly again. Didn’t make the connection till just now. Thanks a huge amount for your help with this.

The same problem after converting domain.NextGEN Gallery can not insert gallery in posts and load media reports error “HTTP Error”. Everything is resolved in the PHP settings on hosting. I enabled display_errors and everything is OK.
