Unable to add galleries since last update

  • All had been working well with the galleries until this latest update, which whenever I try to add a gallery to a page a white rectangle appears which just hangs for ages, and sometimes it opens up the gallery interface, but nothing is working and I cannot get any galleries to show at all, although I do have many of them tucked away in there.

    This is a photograph driven site and the inability to add photographs via the gallery interface, which has always been excellent apart from one or two hiccups from previous updates, is frustrating. I would appreciate it if Photocrati could get a fix for this ASAP.

    To note, I have tried deactivating and reactivating Nextgen, but this makes no difference.

    @phill29 – This is often a plugin conflict but if you have already tried that avenue could you submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/) so we can get a closer look at what might be happening?

    Hi I’m having the same symptoms but it is also preventing me from creating new short codes. Old shortcodes for nextgen are still working though. Very odd, I can put an old shortcode on a new page but I cannot put a shortcode to a new gallery anywhere, it just prints the text of the shortcode. I’m reluctant to start killing and reinstating the other plugins as some need setting back up after deactivation, any ideas as to which ones to start looking at (or types?)

    @cais Thank you for getting back so quickly. I have just submitted a bug support as requested, and I have deactivated the few other plugins I have and the issue outlined still remains.

    To add,I have had no problem uploading images from PC to create new galleries, or in managing my galleries, I just can’t get them inserted in a page. I have several hundred galleries, and all have worked really well until now.

    I had a problem with the latest release of NextGen when trying to upload the image to a gallery. The status showed 100% complete but 0 image was uploaded. It was working fine with the previous release.

    I’m in immediate need to upload some photos. Please provide assistance. Thank you.
