  • Hello @anandvira , happy to help. Do you experience the same issue when using a Chrome incognito window?

Could you please share a screen recording of your experience using a service such as Loom or Recordit then share the URL here?

Hi @luckynasan Thank you for the reply and your help.

Yes facing the same issue on incognito mode as well. Sharing the recording for the same.

    Thanks for sharing the recording!

That behavior is quite strange. It might be because of a conflict with another plugin or some kind of misconfiguration.

As a workaround, you could go to https://uniacco.com/blog/wp-admin/options.php, search for web_stories_ga_tracking_id and replace your GA ID there & then hit enter to save the changes.
That will save you some troubleshooting time.

Thanks for sharing the recording. Very strange. In that case there really is some kind of misconfiguration on your site.

Please try temporarily disabling all other plugins besides Web Stories and then try updating the settings again (both via the Web Stories dashboard or that page I mentioned before). This will help us pinpoint if something else is involved.

You can actually safely do this by using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin?and enabling its?troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user. So none of your visitors are affected at all.

    1. Enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
    2. Enable plugins and your theme one by one in this mode to help pinpoint if something else is involved.

    * Note you can?disable troubleshooting mode again?from the plugins page.

Hi Pascal, got a error by showing settings not saved

Just to confirm, even with all other plugins deactivated you still are unable to save settings, even when going to wp-admin/options.php?

    Thread Starter anandvira

    (@anandvira)

    Yes tried all the options

    (@swissspidy)

Does it also happen when you deactivate all other plugins and changing your theme?

One last resort is for you to share your Site Health information (which you can also share?privately?here) so that we could try to reproduce this on our side.

But I feel like there is something really wonky going on on your site and you might need to get further assistance from your website’s developer or hosting provider. Because if saving stuff on wp-admin/options.php does not work, then this is not just an issue with this plugin, with your site in general.

Hey, have added the site health in the form

Hi @swissspidy hope you had a good weekend! Did you got a chance to see the site health.

@anandvira Apologies for the late follow-up. Could you try to disable/remove the “Web Stories Additional GA Tracking” plugin and test if this occurs with Web Stories version 1.34.0?

    (@anandvira)

    Hi @luckynasan,

Tried deactivating that as well however it reverted to UA Code

I can only repeat what I said earlier: I feel like there is something really wonky going on on your site and you might need to get further assistance from your website’s developer or hosting provider. Because if not even changing the tracking ID via?wp-admin/options.php?works, then this is not just an issue with this plugin, but with your site in general.

One thing you could try in addition is to remove the object-cache.php and advanced-cache.php drop-ins and then try saving the setting again. But again, consult with your developer/hosting provider.
