Hi, I set up a staging site to redesign my website and added the FiboSearch bar as a Menu Item.

I’ve just tried to do the same thing on the Live site and it will not allow me to add the FiboSearch bar. Essentially, in Appearance > Menus, when I tick ‘FiboSearch bar’ and then ‘Add to menu’, I just get a spinning busy circle which never stops.

Interestingly I tried on the staging site and that still works i.e. I can add the bar instantly. The staging site is from several weeks ago so something seems to have changed to stop this from happening.

Are you able to advise what I can try?

Note I’ve tried this on two different PCs to discount the possibility that it was a local PC issue and I get the same results.

    Thanks

  • Hi @fatcacky!

Here is what you can do to find the cause of this error:

    1. Open the Developer Tools in your browser (F12 or right-click and select “Inspect”). Under the “Console” tab look for any JavaScript errors when you try to add the FiboSearch bar. Let me know if you find anything.
    2. Temporarily switch to the default theme (e.g., Twenty Twenty-Four) and check if errors still occur.
    3. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except FiboSearch then try adding the FiboSearch bar to the menu again. If it works, reactivate your plugins one by one to identify the conflicting plugin.

    Regards,

    Hi Kris,

The following error occurs in Inspect when trying to add the FiboSearch Bar.

    POST https://gear4sport548.e.wpstage.net/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden)

This can be expanded to show individual items such as send, ajax, e., ce. etc but I can’t seem to be able to copy that information.

    Does this tell you anything?

    Thanks

I have found that a Plugin called Popup Builder is causing the conflict.
