Unable to add comments to WP2.5

  • I am currently running 2.5 and have found that the only way comments can be added are if the the Settings | General | Membership has “Users must be registered and logged in to comment” unchecked. I’ve tried as the admin and various levels of registered users, without success. I’ve cycled between my current theme (Royale 1.4 by t0mmmmmmm), WP Classic and Default, again without success. I really don’t want a wide open site and look forward to any assistance.

  • No problem … I’d suggest a total reinstall. Don’t delete your database though.

    OK, I’ve backed up the DBs and uploaded fresh 2.5.1 files without success. At this point, I’m thinking of completely blowing the site away and starting from scratch, to include DBs. If I can get the site to function then, I might be able to import the DBs then.

    Any thoughts?
