I currently use SportsPress to showcase various hot & spicy food challenges in Player vs Player League Table format. Players gain points for how many items can be eaten or in the fastest time for example. This table shows how quickly Players can eat a spicy chocolate bar – https://leagueoffire.com/moab-league-table/ – 42 Players are in this table.

This other League Table has 46 Players – https://leagueoffire.com/chug-challenge-league-table/

There are currently 125 published Players overall who have completed various challenges & I’m putting together a League Table to show ALL the Players and their TOTAL number of points. https://leagueoffire.com/table/total-league-of-fire-points/

The issue I’m having is that there seems to be a limit of 50 or 51 Players that can be allocated data for any 1 League Table. The points that I do add to additional Players in the SportsPress dashboard are not updated when I save.

Is there a way to fix this or is this available as a feature in SportsPress Pro? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There is something else going on rather than any limits that would be imposed by SportsPress.
I would take a look at your server logs / error logs coming from Apache.
And set your debug to high in WordPress to try to get more information.

Many thanks for your response. I will get onto my server people an see if they can help with the de-bugging side of things and see if we can get to the bottom of this.

I’ve just had a look at the error_log file in public_html this line is repeated A LOT (100’s of lines) and has done for several weeks buy the looks of it:-

PHP Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in

…public_html/wp-content/plugins/sportspress/includes/class-sp-league-table.php on line 793

Could this be linked to the current issue I’m having?

Personally, I doubt it. This is a warning being thrown between the code and your version of PHP.

It seems like a max_input_vars issue. Did you try to increase that value? Please see below for more info:

Thank you that appears to have worked!

I set up a staging site and added max_input_vars =4000 into .user.ini and managed to save all my inputted data successfully!

The options for adding code into .htaccess and wp-config.php didn’t appear to work!

You’re a lifesaver – this has been bugging me for quite a while!
