• Hi everybody

After I made an manuel update of my wordpress to 3.8.1, I can’t access to my wp-admin/plugins.php, wp-admin/themes.php AND wp-admin/update-core.php Page.
All the other admin pages works.

I’v read other topic about that…
So I disabled all the plugins by rename the plugins folder to plugins-old.
But I still don’t have access to thoses pages…

I also updated the plugins that I have.
Si in the admin area, I can see there is 10 updates to make…
But I made them, I think, I just have to run core-update to make them apply… ?

I also read on another topic that someone else resolved this problem by changing the database version on the phpmyadmin wp_options tables…
    I tried this way :

    1) go on the core-update.php
    2) WOw I see that page now…
    3) Click on update button
    3) See the message “Update Complete Your WordPress database has been successfully updated!”
    4) Click “Continue” button
    5) I’m getting redirected back to core-function.php with the 404 error…

In my dashboard, nothing changed, I still see the 10 updated to do

If anybody can help me ? ??

    Thx !

  • Hi dorians,

I’m having exactly the same problems as yours, except that I’m creating a brand new wordpress blog on EC2 (and following exactly Amazon’s tutorial). Most functionality is there, except for the themes.php and plugins.php.

    Have you solved your problem?

@chpatino: I updated my PHP to 5.4, but I still have this problem. ??

Was anyone able to solve this issue?

I have just fell into this same issue..

Plugins.php not working, update-core.php not working..

Any help on this would be appreciated..

My site is hosted on Amazon Aws server..

    Thanks.

    Just solved the issue..

Login to PUtty at your amazon instance..
    Run this command

    sudo yum update

press Y when prompted… and it will upgrade your amazon instance.. then refresh and try accessing your plugin file it will work..
