• Hi everybody

After I made an manuel update of my wordpress to 3.8.1, I can’t access to my wp-admin/plugins.php, wp-admin/themes.php AND wp-admin/update-core.php Page.
All the other admin pages works.

I’v read other topic about that…
So I disabled all the plugins by rename the plugins folder to plugins-old.
But I still don’t have access to thoses pages…

I also updated the plugins that I have.
Si in the admin area, I can see there is 10 updates to make…
But I made them, I think, I just have to run core-update to make them apply… ?

I also read on another topic that someone else resolved this problem by changing the database version on the phpmyadmin wp_options tables…
    I tried this way :

    1) go on the core-update.php
    2) WOw I see that page now…
    3) Click on update button
    3) See the message “Update Complete Your WordPress database has been successfully updated!”
    4) Click “Continue” button
    5) I’m getting redirected back to core-function.php with the 404 error…

In my dashboard, nothing changed, I still see the 10 updated to do

If anybody can help me ? ??

    Thx !

  • Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

Ok. Thanks but I followed the 4 steps. Still the same problem.

After Step 4, I went back to my siteurl in blank page.
Then I rename back the 2 folder.
Go back in my admin area and still get the same problem.

Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

The only errors I have is :

[Mon Feb 10 14:14:29 2014] [notice] child pid 11519 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

I really don’t know what it is about…

That’s a server issue. Are you running your own web server?

its on a dedicated serveur using apache

    Is this your server?

You can update your PHP version to 5.4. This solved my problem.
