Unable to access website after launching an 'Update All' update

  • Can anyone help? Yesterday I performed an ‘update all’ to all updates on our website and this morning I am unable to access the website at all. When I google the website it comes up but on clicking the link it leads to a white page. We are a charity with a small team and very few website skills so if anyone can advise using basic language it would be appreciated

  • Try this (you need to use FTP to do this):

    1. resetting plugin by renaming plugin folder (wp-content/plugins) by adding “-old” to the end of folder name
    2. create new plugin folder called plugins
    3. try to access your wordpress
    4. re-installing plugin as necessary by download or move it from plugind-old folder one by one to the new plugin folder.

    if your site still blank then you could try

    5. download latest wordpress and copy all folder and files except wp-content folder and wp-config.php file and paste it into your server
