I use wordpress on a number of sites but mostly on https://ddforum.co.za . I use W8 on a state of the art Dell desktop

I attempted to edit pages and posts on ddforum.co.za to find the visual editor displays a blank page when there should have been a wysiwyg display. I am unable to access or edit any posts or pages nor create new posts or pages.

How can I fix this or how can I contact wordpress for support?

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    thank you,

    John barrington

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

WordPress is free software and this free, volunteer-staffed forum is the only support resource available via www.remarpro.com.

    Hi Esmi,

Thanks for the list – some is a bit daunting as I sort of know enough to use wordpress, so long as nothing goes wrong click goes wron click goes wr click and not much else but I’ll work my way through it and see what happens. I guess it will be a learning curve.

    Hi Esmi,

Guess I got lucky – found the problem in a plug-in. Now have my visual editor back. Thank you.
