• Hi there,

I have been working on the site naturalhealthnews.info and now I am completely unable to access or log back in. I was editing the function PHP and was having issues with the footer. I received an error message that I did not have enough functions for the footer.

Then I found online a code for debugging to add to fix that problem, and when I added that I now get the following message every time I go to the site

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home3/painblog/public_html/naturalhealthnews.info/wp-content/themes/dynamic-news-lite/functions.php on line 214

    Please help!!!!!

Your active theme “dynamic-news-lite” seems to be the issue.

to rule out any theme specific issue, try try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides

    Hi Tara,

Thank you for the response, however I have no clue how to perform what you just suggested. I can access the cpanel, but I’m not sure how to switch themes within that…

When you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes/ and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name of the current theme.

Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.
