    Hi there,

I’m currently using the latest version of WordPress with the GeneratePress theme and your Media File Renamer. I really love it, but I’m encountering an issue where I can no longer access the Media Library from the editor since your update last night. While I can still upload images directly into a post, the Media Library button doesn’t respond when I try to add a header image. After deactivating the plugin it works as usual. Please fix that!

    Thanks for your help!

  • @reiseblogger This sounds like my issue. When I click the “Set Featured Image” button on a post or page, the button does not bring up the Media Library modal to select a featured image. I was able to isolate the issue to this plugin. When Media File Renamer is deactivated, the Media Library pops up just fine.

    Hi @reiseblogger, @panhead,

I have tried to set up a new install, and replicate those issues you are having, but to no avail; could you share more? Whatever you see in the Console in the Chrome Developer Tools might be useful (after clicking on Set Featured Image, for example).

Also, please share your WordPress version, and the list of the plugins and the theme you are using.

@panhead, since Set Featured Image is part of WordPress, could you disable all the plugins except Media File Renamer, and try to use Set Featured Image again? If you would even better if you could switch temporarily to another theme.

Would love to fix this, but I absolutely need to replicate.

    Hi Jordy,

    I’m experiencing the same issue.

In all WooCommerce product pages, whether published or saved as drafts, it’s impossible to:

    • Replace the main image
    • Add images to the gallery
    • Assign images to any variants

The media library popup doesn’t open when clicking the button.

Deactivating “Media File Renamer” resolves the issue.

    To reproduce the problem:
When the product hasn’t been saved yet (creating a new product), the media library popup opens fine. But once the product is saved (as a draft or published) and the page is refreshed, it no longer works.

    My environment:

    • WordPress 6.6.1
    • WooCommerce 9.1.4
    • PHP 8.1.29
    • Media File Renamer 5.9.5
    • Shoptimizer theme 2.7.9

PS: “Media File Renamer” also causes another issue with invisible text in WYSIWYG fields (short product description, product description, ACF text areas, etc.).
In the “text” version of the WYSIWYG editor, the text is visible, but in the “visual” version, the text is not visible. This seems related to the problem mentioned in this other post.

    Hi @petertely,

On my installs, this works fine. In your case, a JS error happened, and because of that, all the JS scripts stopped working. Media File Renamer triggers this, but what I am trying to understand is why. Of course, normally, it doesn’t do that, and on my installs, even with WooCommerce and other plugins, it doesn’t. So there is currently something that triggers with Media File Renamer, and I am trying to find which one is it.

Like I said earlier, I think it would be great if you could:

Disable all the plugins except Media File Renamer, and try to use Set Featured Image again? If you would even better if you could switch temporarily to another theme. You can also try that with WooCommerce (so keep only two plugins enabled.
