Unable to access blog – database error

  • Hi,

    I was setting up a new blog and edited the WP.Config.php file with a username, Dbname and password, i then over wrote the file of a blog that was running OK (stupid i know), the result is that I am unable to access the database and therefore my blog, https://www.venturesportscafe.com.

    I have attempted to re-install the users and DB’s from my host, but I am unable to get the right combination.

    Is there anyway you can retrieve the data from a congig. php file before it was edited?

    No. Thats what backups are for.

    if you dont know what info you need to put in your wp-config.php, and have exhausted your own self-help options, ask your host.
