• Like several others, I received the email saying my site had been automatically updated. I didn’t think anything of it until today when I tried to access the back end of my website to update the blog and add links. I can see my website. I cannot get into it at all. When I hit edit, it sends me back to the blank page that says the update was successful.

Is anyone else having difficulty getting into their website? If so, has anyone successfully found a way in?

    Thanks,
    Jordan Summers

  • Try logging in to your server using FTP and go into /wp-content/plugins, and then rename every subdirectory in there (for example, rename something like plugin-name-folder to plugin-name-folder-disabled) so that all plugins will be disabled.

See if that helps you getting back in the back-end.

If that works, enable the plugins again one by one (by renaming the folder back and then enabling it in the admin) to see if any of them caused the issue.

    Thanks Senff. I’ll try it!

I am having the same problem. I will try this.

I tried it and it did not work.

I am still getting this error when I try to access my wp-admin files:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare install_wtwp() (previously declared in D:\Hosting\11261898\html\musicandspirits\wp-content\install.php:36) in D:\Hosting\11261898\html\musicandspirits\wp-content\install.php on line 93
