    Hey, guys.

I was editing my child function.php earlier today and logged off after I was done.
Now I’m trying to login and the page is blank! It never happened before and I’m afraid (actually desparate) my blog was hacked.

Any ideas/suggestions on what I should do, please?
All kinds of help are more than appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • You made an PHP-error in the child function.php. Access your site using FTP or the File Manager of your hosting. Navigate to wp-content >> themes and rename your child theme to e.g. xx-themename. Your WordPress will switch to a standard Twenty x theme.
Correct the error in the child function.php and rename your child theme to its original name.

Yes, sounds like a php issue. Do you make a copy of a file before you change it? If so, roll it back via FTP and then attempt to make your changes again, testing step by step if possible, to discover the issue.
