Ummm…where is the menu?

…I’ve never had to create a custom menu in any other theme…didn’t even occur to me. So…it won’t just show the default menu?

Some themes use all your pages as a default menu, meaning they just query what pages are created and show them all. You usually can override in the menus page. But there isn’t a “defualt” menu created in wordpress.

This theme doesn’t do that because it as three menu locations. you can place in the primary, secondary or topbar. Some people just use say the secondary and want the primary empty. Some want the primary and secondary empty. If we placed a default then you wouldn’t have a way to turn one or all of the menus off.

Hope that makes sense. Making a menu might be easier then you think though it’s only a few clicks.

Respectfully, it kind of doesn’t. For the record, the behavior of not showing all existing pages by default is pretty weird. It’s not like I’m a WP genius or anything, but I’ve worked with a *lot* of different themes before and haven’t ever run into that concept before.

But I managed to get the menu to show now by creating a custom menu. So thanks.
