    So I’ve installed the LATEST version of this plugin, and all I can say is WTH????

    So I edited my profile settings, added my profile ID (which I had to do some BACKFLIPS to find BTW) Then I clicked the “Big Blue Button”, and was taken to my AddThis Tool Gallery..

    After a few more head scratches and back flips (some clear & concise instructions/readme or ANYTHING would have been NICE here) I somehow figured out accidently where to get the script that is needed (you mean it ISN’T part of the plugin?????) and added it to my Genesis theme using the Genesis theme settings..

    Then I clicked “Get the Code” and configured the tools I wanted.. and guess what happens.. NOTHING nada.. I don’t see any widgets, code or ANYTHING that allows me to add the sharing code to my pages, posts, widgets.. NOTHING..

    What happened to this plugin??? Where can I find UPDATED instructions for configuring and using this darn thing now????????????? Right now I can’t use this thing AT ALL!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…. The ONLY reason I stick with it is for the Analytics.. but that’s only useful if I can configure it!!!!!!

    @divavocals:

    Sorry to hear you are having issues with the update.

    Please make sure you have activated required tools from addthis dashboard after clicking the “Big Blue Button”. From here you can select the position to appear the tool in your site.

    It would be helpful if you can provide your site url to assist you more.

    Thanks for responding..

    Doesn’t work for me.. I did indeed activate the required tools from addthis dashboard after clicking the “Big Blue Button”. The instructions that this is what needs to be done are also not CLEAR.. And to be really honest after YEARS of using this plugin, I REALLY just don’t like this recent change.. Requiring me to login to your admin to configure the plugin on my website JUST to get the AddThis social analytics is a LOT too much work. Plus for MOST of my client websites, the AddThis social analytics stats dashboard in WordPress flat out doesn’t work for reasons I still fail to understand.

    So I decided to pass on trying to work through getting this plugin to behave and look for a different solution; preferably one which uses social analytics via Google Analytics’ Social Plugin Analytics..

    Looks like I can get social analytics via Google Analytics’ Social Plugin Analytics, and I will either implement custom code on my site to display the sharing icons I want or install the AddToAny plugin for WordPress which requires no signup on the AddToAny site because the AddToAny already integrates with Google Analytics’ Social Plugin Analytics

    Now I can see my social analytics via an old familiar friend, Google Analytics.. No need to set up an ADDITIONAL account to view my social analytics stats..
